About the Project

Experience the art in Midtown

A series of captivating public art projects are now on view in Midtown Houston. Funded by a generous $1M grant from the Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge, HueMan:Shelter brings together artists and individuals experiencing homelessness to share powerful visual stories drawn from lived experiences. This social awareness campaign amplifies Houston’s successful interventions to address homelessness. HueMan:Shelter is a heartfelt collaboration between the City of Houston and the Midtown Houston Cultural Arts and Entertainment District
